“I initially wanted a doula for extra support as I was anxious about birth and hospitals. From my initial phone call with Cara she was empathetic and understanding, I felt immediately reassured and her passion shone through. Before even meeting her I knew she was the right Doula for us! Unfortunately, I ended up being very unwell during pregnancy and Cara’s support was invaluable, I gained so much more than just the reassurance I was after. It was such an uncertain time, from 30 weeks I could have given birth at anytime. Cara just went with the flow, was very flexible, always responded promptly to messages and regularly checked in with me. Despite me not having a “normal” pregnancy, having Cara made it feel just like anybody else’s. We did a birth plan and she listened to my fears and worries and I knew I could trust her to get my wishes across on the day . By the time it got to my induction at 36 weeks,  I felt connected to, and safe with Cara, which was so important to me . I found Cara to have a calm energy that felt reassuring which was perfect during labour. I am so grateful to have had such a positive birth experience after a traumatic pregnancy. ”
