“I first thought about getting a doula because we knew my husband wouldn’t be able to be with me at the birth and I wanted someone there to be able to communicate my wishes effectively whilst I was found  on labouring. I found Cara and we met soon after initial contact, after lots of really warm and friendly text messages. Cara met my whole family and was so wonderful to my older children which was my first sign she was the person for me. She was attentive, open, caring and calm. Exactly what I would need when I gave birth. I talked to Cara for hours over two other meetings about every single possible eventuality and she noted everything down and committed it to memory as if it was going to be her own experience. Cara could not have been more supportive in the run up to the birth and made me feel so special. On the day she was by my side offering support I’ll never, ever forget. She made sure all my wishes were seen through when I was not able to communicate in any other way than nods and grimaces. Because of her, and only because of her, my daughter and I experienced the perfect birth. That really is all you need to know. Having Cara by your side will empower you more than you can imagine and put the whole experience on a new level. This is a woman who genuinely wants you to feel amazing and will make your world a better place while you get to know each other. You won’t regret having a doula at your next birth, I promise. And Cara is the one to chose. If I have another baby I can’t imagine going into labour without her encouragement and care. She was my rock.”
