Cara is just perfect for this role, she’s a lifeline at a challenging time and any family benefiting from her help is so fortunate and will be better for it - Reading, Berkshire
Cara came to us at a pretty desperate time. If I can offer one piece of advice it would be to get a night nanny/doula lined up ahead of your birth! We tried for about 4 nights without help, before I started panic searching at 2am and came across Cara who was thankfully available and responsive and on the phone the next day, and with us the next night. The relief was immense. My early days of being a mum were not easy after many challenging years trying to have a baby, then her experiencing weight loss and me experiencing significant feeding challenges followed by a caesarean infection.
Looking back I felt dreadful in those early days and it was more than sleep deprivation, I couldn’t see the wood for the trees. This is where having someone external who is experienced and knowledgable stepping into your routine is a godsend, and Cara provided that for us. She seamlessly arrived and started sorting things out, and it was such a relief knowing the nights wouldn’t be so bad, I could rest and also have some company if I needed it at times in the early hours. I had no worries leaving our baby with Cara and she was instantly up and responsive if anything was needed. She offered ideas without telling me what to do, found a great functional medicine paediatrician for me when our baby needed help following a reaction to the antibiotics I had to take, checked in on days when she wasn’t with us and was just a supportive presence in the back ground.
