“The support that Cara provided me was amazing, it far exceeded my expectations and helped us more than we could have ever imagined. From the day I met her, I knew I could hand her my newborn daughter and be confident that she was going to take care of her like her own child. Cara supported me emotionally and kept me company at home, which was exactly what I needed after my husband went back to work. Cara is very sweet and knowledgeable about how to care for a newborn, and I felt very confident and comfortable leaving my daughter in her care.”

G.C’S TESTIMONIAL
“Cara was a real lifeline during one of the toughest, loneliest times in my life. She stepped into our world with such warmth & treated our son as if he were her own. She made me feel completely safe and supported. I trusted her implicitly—she always seemed to know exactly what I needed or what my son needed, often without me saying a word.
When she came, I used to joke that a fairy had visited. I had a spotless home, a perfectly calm baby, and everything perfectly in order. Whether it was cooking a tasty, nutritious breakfast for me, putting together a playpen, prepping baby meals when my son was a little older, she was a steady, comforting presence in the chaos of new motherhood, there was nothing she couldn’t do!
Her kindness and intuition brought me so much comfort and strength during those early days. She gave me the space to rest and recover & I will be forever be grateful for the care, love and peace she gave me, my son and partner when we needed it most. Thank you Cara.”
S.A'S TESTIMONIAL
“After our first conversation on the phone, I knew that Cara would be the perfect post-natal doula to support me as I navigated the new path of motherhood. Cara is so kind, empathic and warm. She was incredibly supportive to me and also wonderful with my little boy. Cara helped me in so many ways. After an unplanned C birth and challenging labour, I really needed some time to process it and talk it through. Cara provided me with a safe space to do this. We also had a number of feeding challenges early on and Cara was such a brilliant and empathic support. She also shared some very useful resources for me to read / research further. In addition to these areas of support, Cara also attended a few personal medical appointments with me as well as a lactation consultant appointment. I highly recommend Cara’s post natal services.”
M.K’S TESTIMONIAL
“Cara fit seamlessly into our family, supporting us by being my extra pair of hands, able to take over either household chores or the baby (or both!) When she was with us, I was able to eat a home cooked meal without any crying in the background, shower, and feel taken care of. And my husband felt better about leaving us to go to work on those days. In some ways, it was more relaxing and helpful to have Cara than family, because she just knew what to do!
KARLENE’S TESTIMONIAL
“With my second pregnancy I knew instinctively that post birth would be different the second time round. I would have a toddler and a newborn. And although I was excited for the new addition to our family I knew I would need help in the first few days. Cara was she perfect person to help me transition to a mum of two. What I didn't expect to have was a C-section. And so Cara’s presence was even more appreciated. She was able to sooth my newborn, assist me with small but important tasks whilst I was bedbound and start the steps for me in my recovery. Knowing that I was in safe hands made the stress and mayhem of the first few days far easier.I would highly recommend Cara as a doula. The peace and serenity her presence had was exactly what I needed.”
LAURA’S TESTIMONIAL
“After learning postnatal doula support was a thing (!) and following some reflection and discussion with my partner I decided to book Cara’s postnatal care package. I am so glad I did - Cara has a calming & positive aura that is perfect for a frazzled, newly postpartum mum and just having her there to help me out with my new baby, listen to me moan, or help out with the chores we were neglecting around the house was really invaluable. She helped me set up my breast pump, wore my baby so I could catch up on some much needed sleep and recommended local groups I could go to for feeding support. She is always on time and clearly loves what she does - my baby really enjoyed the cuddles and play time! We were quite sad to say goodbye when she left after our final session. I would happily recommend Cara for anyone wishing for a soothing presence for their postnatal care.”
L.M'S TESTIMONIAL
“My amazing sisters gave me a voucher for doula.co.uk and I’m so glad they did! I’m a first time geriatric mum (hate that phrase) and had prepared as much as possible for the birth of our baby. However the little one was breech so all plans for a natural delivery were postponed and a C-section was planned. And it was wonderful - very calm and very lovely. However on day two, we were back in hospital as our little girl had developed jaundice - with some low sugars and salt levels too, we were admitted to neonatal. It was a pretty dramatic 4 days and nights and being away from my girl that first night was traumatic. Once we got discharged and started to settle into regular family life, I realised I needed help. I reached out and met Cara. She came to our flat and I got to talk through the jaundice hospital visit. My sense of guilt at having caused it was greatly reduced by having a listening ear who understands births and women and ALL the emotions! Cara also helped with my breastfeeding latch which proved transformative on our breastfeeding journey. And then continued to provide ongoing support with great articles and books after our meeting. Although I’ve a brilliant and supportive husband as well as loving and caring family to help, I needed Cara to be the informed and unbiased listener to my story. After so many conflicting messages from a wealth of practitioners, Cara helped restore my faith in my own maternal instincts which had received quite a bashing. And that is her super power - listening and restoring. I’m so incredibly thankful for her role in my birth as a mum, my only regret is not having had Cara’s support throughout my pregnancy.”
